Forklift training & associated courses

Forklift truck, Digger/Excavator and Loading Shovel training can readily be arranged by the Group along with associated courses such as the use of Shunters or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, and Banksman training.
Employers' responsibilities include ensuring that operators are trained and certified, plant is serviced and maintained and that appropriate risk assessments have been carried out.
Course length will depend on the age and experience of the trainees; the maximum number of people on a course is 3. It should be noted that refresher training is required every five years. All Instructors are registered with either Lantra or the Construction Plant Register Ltd
Courses conclude with a theoretical and practical assessment. Sucessful candidates will be issued with a certificate and photo card.

Banksman
For this training it is important that the instructor is provided with a copy of both the traffic managment risk assessment and traffic management policy and procedures for the site where the training is to take place.
